Kentucky Tavern Bourbon Ad Circa 1947

What better bourbon ad to feature during the World Series than this gem from Kentucky Tavern Bourbon circa 1947. That’s the year that the New York Yankees won the title in 7 games against the Brooklyn Dodgers and the first time that a racially integrated team played in the World Series.

Whether you’re rooting for the Cardinals or the Red Sox I hope you’ll have a big glass of bourbon with you tonight as you watch the game.  Enjoy!

PS – Interesting coincidence that the first two pennants on the cover of the book are for St. Louis and Boston. Pay no attention though to the fact that St. Louis is listed above Boston. 😉
