Win A Spot on the Bourbon & Banter Pilgrimage

A week from today a select group of individuals from across the country will begin making their way towards Kentucky to take part in the 2012 Bourbon & Banter Pilgrimage.  At exactly 2 PM EST we’ll kick off the tour with our first distillery tour at Buffalo Trace. What follows over the next three days is sure to become legendary and talked about for decades to come whenever two or more gather to drink bourbon and engage in friendly banter. It’s going to be a true bourbon lover’s dream excursion deep into the heart of Bourbon Country.

So tell me, why are you joining us for the Pilgrimage next week?

I’m sure there’s plenty of good reasons that you aren’t joining us and I understand that not everyone can get off work or justify the expense during a difficult economy. For those of you that can’t get the time off work I hope that next year you’ll be able to make the proper adjustments in advance to join us. For those of you who couldn’t quite justify the investment I think I may have a solution for you…assuming you’re still wanting to join us on short notice. Please read on…

One of our Bourbon Pilgrims had to unfortunately cancel this week and can no longer attend. He’s asked that I find someone worthy to take his place….for free. The only expense would be for lodging at the hotel. (Yes, many drinks will be hoisted in his honor next week.) Initially I thought I would simply create a contest for one lucky person to win the tour spot and join us next week but I realize that many people hate to travel alone. They would prefer to join the Pilgrimage with a good friend or family member besides them as they venture into Bourbon Country. Therefore I’ve decided that I needed to create a giveaway that would provide these folks a chance to get in on the action as well.

So I’m providing an opportunity for folks to sign-up to have their name entered into a drawing to win a spot on the tour next week. There are two categories for your to choose from when submitting your entry but priority will be given to people who are willing and able to bring a long a friend on the trip.

Using the form below submit your contact information and choose between a Single Tour Ticket or a Buy 1, Get 1 Free Tour Ticket. Assuming we get folks signing up for the Buy 1, Get 1 prize we will draw our winner from that pool of entries only. (That’s a good incentive to find a friend and agree to go in on the price of a single ticket and share a hotel room.) If we don’t get any Buy 1, Get 1 entries we’ll draw our winner from the Single Ticket entry submissions.  I realize this may be a little confusing but it’s the most fair solution I could think of, and implement in such a short period of time.

We’ll stop taking submissions at midnight on Friday, October 5th. The winner will be contact on Saturday and announced shortly thereafter. If you are the winner of the Buy 1, Get 1 ticket you’ll be sent a link to purchase your ticket and will need to do so immediately so we can finalize some remaining trip details. The cost of that single ticket will be $699. So please make sure you are committed to deal so that others don’t miss out on this opportunity. You can get full Pilgrimage details here.

My apologies for any typos above or confusion. My goal is to get this out ASAP so people can take advantage of the opportunity and make some plans with their friends. If you have any questions please send email to us directly and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Good luck!
