ERIN'S NOTES

NOSE: Light Corn Sweetness | Vanilla | Candied Orange

TASTE: Sweetness at first, then completely misses mid palate. Aftertaste is faintly sweet. With a bit of water, a gentle orange flavor emerges but the whiskey only hits the top palate and misses the other taste receptors. With ice, the major flavor is sugar.

FINISH: Lingering light burn

SHARE WITH: Country Boys and Redneck Girls

WORTH THE PRICE: At about $30, it isn't expensive nor is it cheap. If you are a fan of Jason Aldean or Florida-Georgia Line, or looking for a decent intro bourbon, it's a solid bet.

BOTTLE, BAR OR BUST: It isn't quite a bust, but if you want to try it, I don't think many bars carry it, so a bottle is your best bet.

OVERALL: It isn’t harsh, which is good for a 4 year old, but that’s likely due to the low proof. Wolf Moon is best suited for sipping while hanging around and burning it down, and you don’t want to sip on any Jack Daniels. The type of whiskey you pour over ice in a solo cup around a bonfire, hanging out at the lake, or knocking back on a muddy tailgate. So if the stuff they’re making down in Lynchburg, Tennessee isn’t working like they said it would, then I wouldn’t expect this to drown the memories either, because it only hits around 80 proof. The reviews from fans on Wolf Moon's Facebook page center around calling the whiskey "smooth," which is what folks say when they cannot identify clear flavors and it doesn't taste like kerosene.

I can't say I enjoy the music of Florida-Georgia Line, but I do like Jason Aldean. One of my favorite memories of my little nephew is him donning a cowboy hat and little guitar and serenading us with his rendition of "Burnin' It Down."

If they still make Wolf Moon by the time he turns 21, I would certainly buy him a bottle for old times' sake. This is a product for fans of the celebrities whose names are emblazoned on the back of the bottle. At its core, this is just another celebrity bourbon that was created to diversify their offerings and capitalize on the bourbon boom, certainly not with providing an exceptional nor interesting product.
It is what it is: a 4 year old sourced MGP bourbon, watered down to the minimum proof, and priced to accommodate licensing fees for using the Jason Aldean and Florida-Georgia Line names.

COUNTRY ARTISTS JASON ALDEAN AND FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE LAUNCH LATEST HIT: WOLF MOON BOURBON

Trio Introduces A Straight Bourbon Whiskey For ‘The Good Life’ Moments

Nashville, TN  (February 7, 2020) — ACM “Artist of the Decade” Jason Aldean and multi-platinum, award-winning duo Florida Georgia Line (FGL) are pleased to announce the launch of their latest collaboration: Wolf Moon Bourbon™. After touring together since 2014, Aldean, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley have become close friends and frequent collaborators, teaming up for Aldean’s multiple No. 1 hits such as Aldean’s “You Make It Easy,” that FGL co-wrote, and joining forces on the song “Can’t Hide Red.”

Wolf Moon is an 80-proof bourbon distilled from Midwestern grains and aged for four years in new, charred American oak barrels. The bourbon’s flavor profile, chosen by the trio, offers caramel, sweet corn, honey and candied fruit, balanced by hints of oak and spice.

“There’s nothing like sharing a glass of bourbon with my crew after a show—you could say its been part of our ritual for years,” said Jason Aldean. “Tyler and Brian have been a part of that ritual and we wanted to create something to remind us of our favorite memories. Wolf Moon’s name is a nod to the pack—the friends that become family. I’m looking forward to raising a glass with all my fans on the road this year.”

Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard are no strangers to the whiskey world, with the duo introducing Old Camp Whiskey back in 2016, starting with a peach pecan flavor to celebrate their home states and made to get the party started. It was only natural for them and the distilling team to collaborate with Jason on their next whiskey venture—a four-year-old straight bourbon, made for sipping and taking in ‘the good life’ moments with friends.

“Making good whiskey is a passion of ours, and we really wanted to create something new and fresh with Jason,” said Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard. “We’ve had this idea for years and spent a lot of time making sure we got it just right. We’re all so proud of this and can’t wait for all of the memories to be made over Wolf Moon.”
