Ten High Bourbon Ad Circa 1940

Good Friday everyone. I wasn’t able to track down an Easter-themed bourbon ad for you (should have saved the Virginia ham ad till today), but I was able to locate this Ten High bourbon ad from 1940 styled around tax season.

Evidently if you’re the type of person that is thrifty and saves some money on taxes Ten High bourbon is going to help you do just that. Let me know how that’s working out for you.

Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Easter this weekend. And remember, if you see any drunk Easter Bunnies, give them a break and pour them another glass of bourbon. Ten High Bourbon Ad Circa 1940

Muzzleshot Shot Glasses for the Bourbon Badass

Muzzleshot Shot Glasses for the Bourbon Badass

Next time your friends suggest taking a shot of bourbon pull these out and watch the look on their faces.

Machined from a solid block of aluminum and designed to resemble a M16’2 flash supressor, these badass Muzzleshot shot glasses are virtually indestructible. That makes them perfect for when your buddies get a little out of hand and start dropping things at your next poker night.

Each glass holds 1.5oz and costs $35. That’s a steep price when compared to other shot glasses, but then again, these are not your typical shot glasses.

If you want to be an even bigger badass, order a set of 4 Muzzleshots in a custom-designed Pelican case for $200.

As for the perfect bourbon to enjoy in your new Muzzleshot shot glasses, may I be as bold as to suggest a few rounds of Bulleit bourbon?

A few weeks ago we traveled up to Dayton, OH to visit the Century Bar as part of our Bourbon Across America travels.  While we’re still working on a full write-up of our visit to the bar, we thought we’d share with you a video we put together of our adventures so you could learn a little bit more about the Century Bar and why we selected them to kick off our Bourbon Across America series.

Special thanks go out to Joe, Tim and George for taking time to appear in the video as well as te Century Bar owner, Diane, and the rest of her amazing crew. We had a blast visiting and can’t wait until we visit again.

If this looks like the type of place you’d like to visit, you can check out the Century Bar online, or visit them in person at:

Century Bar
10 S. Jefferson St.
Dayton, OH 45405

PS – We apologize if you find the video a little dark. Next time we’ll round up some video lights before we hit the road.

Old Crow Bourbon Ad Circa 1972

Say it with me folks, “Damn! I’m glad it’s Friday.” While I still have a few hours to go before I can call it quitting time, I plan on passing the time by staring at this Old Crow Bourbon ad from 1972. It’s another ad from the series I shared last week. This time though, we’re talking bourbon and Virginia ham. That’s a game changer in my world. Plus, I really like the large glass of whiskey approach they had going on back in 1972. No reason to be shy when drinking bourbon, right?

Have a great weekend everyone. Cheers!
