Based data supplied by the Department of the Treasury there’s some pretty interesting findings contained within the infographic. Here are a few of my favorites.
“All the bubbly consumed on New Year’s Eve is no match for what Americans put away on “Black Out Wednesday,” the day before Thanksgiving. It’s the busiest drinking day of the year.”
“In Kentucky, home to bourbon, they like to binge drink nearly 6 times a month.”
“People who make more than $70,000 a year are the people who binge drink the most (20 percent).”
I have to admit that I didn’t know today was referred to as “Black Out Wednesday”. I knew it was the biggest drinking day of the year but the fact that it got a nickname as well was news to me.
