HQ Build-Out: Episode 5
This week: the last wall finally gets painted, the building tells us a secret we didn't ask for, and a five-shelf science cabinet joins the collection.
Sixty-plus hours in and that wall is finally done. The building had other plans.
The big news is paint. That last wall, all 71 feet of it, is done, and it looks fantastic. But painting something that's been white forever has a way of exposing what the building's been hiding, and this week it was two problems at once. I'll walk you through both and what we're doing about them.
On the better side of things, we picked up another Facebook Marketplace find to go with last week's haul, got some real lighting into the front of the space, and ran a few tests on stripping the stenciling off those exposed two-by-fours. One method worked. One made things worse. You'll want to see which is which before you try it yourself.
We're also closing in on quotes for cabinets, an office concept I'm pretty excited about, and the electrician, so the next update should have some real progress to show.
