As we head into 2018, Bourbon & Banter is excited one again post an open call for booze evangelists. If you’ve ever wanted to write for Bourbon & Banter or get your point of view heard by hundred’s of thousands of fellow booze aficionados, now’s your chance.

The application process will be very similar to the last time we had an open call for new contributors but this time we’re not limited our search to only folks that love bourbon. Yep, that’s right. We’re opening it up to anyone that has a passion for whiskey in general, rum, tequila or gin. It’s all part of our mission to help folks #drinkcurious.

Help Wanted Blog Contributors

For now if you’re interested in exploring becoming a contributor, here are the specifics for your consideration.

What: Bourbon & Banter is seeking a volunteer contributors for the Bourbon & Banter website. Volunteers will help shape blog post ideas, write blog posts & provide assistance in sourcing information, graphics, etc. as needed in support of blog posts/content. At this time we’re only seeking volunteers – no paid positions. BourbonBanter.com remains a labor of love at this time. If somehow your contributions lead to explosive overnight growth you can bet your ass you’ll be compensated fairly. I swear on a bottle of bourbon to that fact.

Why:  Bourbon & Banter was founded to spread the Bourbon Gospel. And for the past several years we’ve had a hell of a time doing it. Through our shared love of America’s native spirit we’ve met new people, swapped stories and even starred in few of our own.

But, along the way, we realized we had stumbled into something far more interesting, and frankly more fulfilling, than whatever was in our glass at the time. A remarkable kinship – born in bourbon, but cemented through genuine curiosity for the world of liquor and the resulting unfiltered conversations we call banter. It’s a big reason we’re here today and the soul of what we’re planning for tomorrow.

We’ve got our sights on going beyond spreading the Bourbon Gospel. We’re looking to unite a band of curious drinkers, original thinkers and just downright candid folks over intoxicating conversation. In renewing our commitment to unpretentious booze reviews, approachable content, and honest barstool talk, we’re creating a community fueled by personal passion and opinion unlike any other.

With a colorful cast of characters – from professional palates and cocktail connoisseurs to casual drinkers and bottom-shelf dwellers – our opinions may be varied but our mission singular: to help you drink curious.

And now we’re looking for others to join our team to help us expand beyond bourbon into the broader whiskey category, rum, tequila and gin.

When: We’re looking for contributors right now. Once we receive interest & the required information we’ll make our selections as quickly as possible. Ideally we’ll have everything worked out in time for our 6th anniversary in mid-February.

Who: You must be a resident of planet earth & be 21 years of age or older to become a contributor. (I will ask for proof of age for confirmation if needed.) You must have a clear passion for all things booze related. A willingness to drink curious is expected, as is a strong commitment to quality, timeliness & detail. You don’t have to be a professional writer but you do have to be able to put together your thoughts in a manner that won’t create more work for the rest of the team.  And of most importantly, you need to be willing to commit to a regular schedule of blog contribution. While we’re always open to guest bloggers, I’m really looking for folks who want to contribute on a regular basis & become a member of BourbonBanter.com team.

How: Follow these instructions to the letter. Follow us on Twitter via @BourbonBanter. Tweet your interest using the hashtag #bbgig. We’ll note your interest & get in touch with you with additional instructions. Including a good reason you want to join the team in your Tweet wouldn’t be a bad idea either. Not on Twitter? Well, now’s a good time to jump in and setup an account. Contributors are expected to use social media as part of helping others #drinkcurious.

That covers the basics for now. As stated earlier in this post we’re pretty excited about having new folks join our team. It’s going to take some work to iron out the details but I know in the end it’s going to be a lot of fun & exciting to see what happens next. Thanks for continuing to be a part of Bourbon & Banter. We look forward to your Tweets.

Cheers,

~ Pops and the Bourbon & Banter Team
