Today’s post is for all the whiskey lovers living in the Midwest. Bourbon & Banter is excited to announce that the 3rd annual Whiskey In The Winter event is scheduled for November 22nd. We’re proud to be events sponsors again this year and can’t wait to meet some of you at this year’s event.

Each year Whiskey In The Winter gets better and better. This year a ticket will get you access to over 250whiskies from around the world, whiskey-inspired food stations and education seminars by industry experts including Jim Beam Master Distiller Fed Noe and Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley. And due to the success of the past two years, this year’s event will be held in the larger 4th floor Grand Ballroom.

Here’s all the glorious details from the event’s official press release:

St. Louis, MO (October 8, 2014) –   Whiskey In The Winter, the St. Louis whiskey festival, will take place from 6:00-9:30pm (VIP entry starts at 5:30pm; Beam Suntory and Crown Royal pre-events begin at 4:30pm) on November 22, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis At The Arch. The 3rd annual Whiskey In The Winter will be held in the larger 4th floor Grand Ballroom of the hotel and will be highlighted by a grand tasting featuring over 250 whiskies including single malt and blended Scotch, bourbon, Irish, Tennessee, Canadian, Missouri, Japanese and international whiskies. Representatives from the sampled whiskies will be on hand to answer questions and provide insight on their products.  In addition to the grand tasting, the evening will feature education seminars by industry experts including Jim Beam Master Distiller Fred Noe,  Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, and Woodford Reserve Master Taster Marianne Barnes, whiskey-inspired food stations created by the chefs of the Hyatt Regency St. Louis At The Arch, whiskey cocktails crafted by mixologists from leading restaurants and bars (BC’s Kitchen/Cardwell’s at the Plaza, Cielo, Dressel’s, Element, Gamlin’s Whiskey House, Hendricks, Julep/KC, Juniper, Old Standard, and Ruth’s Chris), and a “Golden Ticket” selection of prestigious rare whiskeys. New this year are two pre-events: the Beam Suntory VIP Experience includes a 1-hour private pre-event (4:30pm-5:30pm) in a penthouse suite featuring Suntory Japanese whiskey and sushi tastings and the Crown Royal VIP Experience includes a 1-hour private pre-event (4:30pm-5:30pm) highlighting the Crown Royal brand experience. Tickets to these experiences also include VIP entry to Whiskey in the Winter.

“Whiskey In The Winter has been a tremendous success and we look forward to expanding the event this year to the larger Grand Ballroom which will allow us to feature more whiskeys, more speakers, and more whiskey cocktails. We are also excited about the whiskey industry personnel travelling to St. Louis for this event- a testament to the positive response from the previous festivals,” states Amit Dhawan, managing partner of SYNERGY Productions LLC, the event producer. “Whiskey popularity continues to grow in the US and Missouri is a leading whiskey market in the country- Whiskey In The Winter is a festival that appeals to both whiskey novices and experts and showcases the wide world of whiskey- the mix of seminars, food and whiskies will offer something for everyone and help create an exciting evening of entertainment and whiskey education.”
